Administrative Experience and Academic Service:

 

Psychology Search Committee, Penn State University, 2002-2003.

 

·        Supervised search for Tenure-line Professorial appointment.

·        Managed schedules and travel arrangements of candidates.

·        Led candidate interview for six-member committee.

·        Established parameters for new Psychology B.A. degree in coordination with search.

 

English Consortium Committee, Penn State University, 1997-2003

 

·        Mediated Penn State University and area high school English teachers and

gifted coordinators.

·        Designed upper-level and Master’s in Education courses to meet Pennsylvania ACT 48 requirements.

·        Worked with Continuing Education Program in order to design courses and

undergraduate programming that meets the needs of area residents.

·        Evaluated the effectiveness and long-term feasibility of current course offerings.

·        Designed Continuing Education certificate program in English.

·        Structured and lead seminars for the annual English Consortium Symposium for area

high school teachers.

·        Designed and structured core curriculum for new Communications B.A. Degree.

·        Developed new core courses such as English 422 (Writing for the World Wide Web) in support of the Communications degree.
